Day ’N Deed gives personal reflection its own space, separate from shared tasks and teams. Write or dictate an entry, browse your journal calendar, and return to prompts, favorites and recent thoughts. Journal entries are never shared with collaborators.

How is the journal protected?

Entries are encrypted on the device. Unlock the journal through Apple’s biometric or device-passcode prompt, with a device passcode set first. Leaving the journal locks it again.

Your task participants and team members cannot read journal entries. Choosing to make a task from an entry does not share the entry itself: review the information being copied before saving the task.

Can I sync the journal between devices?

Optional end-to-end encrypted journal sync links devices signed in to the same member account. Open Profile & settings → Cloud & journal privacy, enable journal sync, and save the recovery code in a safe place. Enter that code on another device signed in to the same account to link it.

Sync requires a connection and runs while the journal is unlocked. Local edits stay encrypted offline. Pausing sync keeps cloud entries. If all linked devices and the recovery code are lost, support cannot recover the journal.

Do I have to use AI to journal?

No. Write or dictate without requesting a reflection. Optional reflections and task suggestions are separate choices. Cloud AI processing needs your consent, internet access and available allowance.

Read the privacy policy for how optional processing works. Encrypted storage does not mean information you choose to send for cloud AI processing stays only on your device.

How do I find an older entry?

Use the journal dashboard, calendar, search and favorites to return to your own entries. These views keep reflection together while shared work has its separate home.

Can I export or delete my data?

See Support for export instructions. Encrypted journal cloud records remain encrypted in the general export; it is not a readable journal backup. Preserve your recovery code.
